Core Aeration

Core aeration is mechanically removing plugs or "cores" of soil to reduce soil compaction and thatch from a lawn.

The machine has hollow tines that perforate the ground with thousands of holes removing 3' to 4" cores.

Core aeration creates pockets of air that allow oxygen, water, and nutrients to move through the ground.

Roots will grow longer, stronger and create healthier grass.

All grass types benefit from core aeration.

For good maintenance aerate every other year, lawn enthusiasts will aerate every year.

*We do not recommend core aeration for new sod lawns less than 2 years old.
